Randy Orton maintained his position as the face of the WWE by retaining his title at Survivor Series. It marks the first Pay-Per-View since Money in the Bank in which the WWE champion has retained the title.

The most significant part of Sunday night came after the conclusion of the final match. Following Orton’s victory, John Cena made his to the ring and held up his World Heavy Championship belt, as he stared down the current WWE champion. The ending to the PPV has fueled rumors that the WWE plans on unifying the titles at WrestleMania 30. Cena’s actions, though, could indicate a champion vs. champion match even sooner than that.

The rest of the match card didn't feature many surprises. Below are the complete results from WWE Survivor Series 2013, as well as a recap for each match.

WWE Champion Randy Orton OVER Big Show

On Monday Night Raw, Orton was told that he’d have to beat Big Show on his own to retain the WWE title. However, the champ did get help from The Authority to win the match. After Orton was hit with a KO Punch and dragged back in the ring, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Kane came out to the stage, distracting Big Show. Orton got the pinfall after delivering an RKO, followed by a punt.

World Heavyweight Champion John Cena OVER Alberto Del Rio

The match went as expected, with Cena struggling for much of the time, only to make a valiant comeback and win with an Attitude Adjustment. At one point, Del Rio locked in the Cross Armbreaker, but Cena managed to escape. The WWE continues to play up the angle that Cena’s torn triceps may not be fully healed.

CM Punk & Daniel Bryan OVER Erick Rowan & Luke Harper

Punk pinned Harper after hitting him with a GTS. Rowan tried to assist Harper, but he was taken out but a running knee from Bryan. Bray Wyatt stayed out of the match and was livid when it concluded. He approached the ring after Harper was pinned, but didn’t get physical with either Punk or Bryan. It appears the feud will continue, possibly with another match at TLC in December.

The Shield & The Real Americans OVER WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Goldust, The Usos & Rey Mysterio (Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match)

Roman Reigns was the sole survivor, pinning Mysterio for the victory. Reigns dominated the match, spearing four superstars and eliminating all but one. If The Shield does break up soon, he could be the member who gets their first major push as a singles wrestler.

Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston OVER Curtis Axel

Langston kicked out of a Perfect-Plex, but was never in real trouble during the match. He retained with the Big Ending and may have sent Axel down towards the bottom of the card in the process.

Natalya, The Bellas, The Funkadactyls, JoJo & Eva Marie OVER Divas Champion AJ Lee, Tamina Snuka, Kaitlyn, Rosa, Summer Rae, Aksana & Alicia Fox

With so many Divas in one match, pinfalls appeared to occur every few seconds. Natalya forced AJ to tap out to end the match. Nikki Bella was also never eliminated.

Mark Henry OVER Ryback

Ryback was not on the initial Survivor Series card, but walked out to the middle of the ring and called out any WWE superstar who wanted to face him. A returning Mark Henry beat Ryback in a rematch from WrestleMania 29.

The Miz OVER Kofi Kingston (Kickoff Match)

After his recent heel turn, The Miz defeated Kofi in the pre-show match. The Miz offered to shake Kofi’s hand afterwards, but Kingston refused.
