Some of the final pieces for SummerSlam 2017 will fall into place Sunday night with the last “SmackDown Live” pay-per-view prior to the “Big Four” event. WWE Battleground 2017 will feature seven matches on the card with three championships on the line.

Battleground 2017 is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. EDT, and the pre-show gets underway at 7:30 p.m. EDT. Ordering the event on PPV costs $54.99, but fans can also watch the event with a live stream on the WWE Network. A subscription to the network costs $9.99 per month, though new subscribers get the first month free.

A year ago, Battleground featured one of the most memorable WWE moments in 2016. Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins faced off in a triple threat match with all three former Shield members vying for the WWE Championship. Ambrose pinned Reigns to retain the title in what was the last PPV before the brand split.

This time around, it will be Jinder Mahal who defends the WWE Championship. It’s a notion that would have appeared to be nearly impossible 12 months ago when Mahal wasn’t even with the company. Now, the blue brand’s top champion will face Randy Orton in a third straight PPV match.

AJ Styles will defend the United States Championship against Kevin Owens. The last time these two wrestlers went head-to-head at a PPV, it was Owens who retained the belt, winning by count-out at WWE Backlash. Styles has since defeated Owens for the title at a live event.

The Usos will make the third title defense at Battleground. They’ll face The New Day in a rematch of their match from Money in the Bank, where The Usos retained their titles by getting counted out, themselves.

John Cena is back on a PPV for the first time since WrestleMania 33, though he won’t be fighting for a belt. He’ll take on a very familiar opponent in Rusev. The two superstars fought over the United States Championship over the course of four PPVs in 2015, including when Cena won the belt and became the first wrestler to pin Rusev at WrestleMania 31.

Shinsuke Nakamura and Baron Corbin will meet in a non-title match, though both wrestlers could be in for big things in four weeks at SummerSlam. Don’t be surprised if Nakamura challenges Styles for the U.S. Title at Barclays Center, and SummerSlam might be the perfect time for Corbin to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase and win the WWE Championship.

Here’s a look at what’s on the docket for WWE Battleground 2017, per wwe.com:
