The truth is out there, and one brief look at Twitter shows fans of “The X-Files” production has commenced on the highly anticipated series reboot. Stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny are busy at work and feeding their fans little previews of their experiences on the set of the revived Fox show.

The relaunch of the cult series is set to air in mid-January. Until then, fans can scope out little tidbits on Twitter, including an official shot from the show’s Twitter account above. “The X-Files” will pick up after a 13 year hiatus with its original leads, Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson). According to Deadline, show creator Chris Carter can be seen in the Twitter photo looking at a monitor featuring the famous paranormal investigators.

If fans aren’t already following Anderson and Duchovny on Twitter, they won’t want to miss the little insights into their “The X-Files” work life. It seems like almost every day since they started filming “The X-Files” mini-series-- filming commenced on Monday-- they have posted new photos from the Vancouver set. People Magazine also recently caught the pair in action as they filmed an outdoor scene in the Canadian city.

Joel McHale became a recent addition to the cast just a week before shooting began. He’s scheduled to play a conservative TV newscaster who becomes an ally to Mulder.

“The X-Files” will return to Fox on Jan. 24, 2016.
