New stills of “X-Men: Apocalypse” have been released online via Slash Film. They give the first look at the some of the younger mutants including Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Jubilee (Lana Condor), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-Mc-Phee), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) and Storm (Alexandra Shipp). They all appear to be sporting 1980s hairstyleS and dresses. Condor can be seen sporting two pigtails and wearing hoops in her ears whereas Turner can be seen sporting wavy hair and a blue and gray striped t-shirt. Sheridan can be seen wearing a classic pair of sunglasses from the '80s.

The photos of Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Quicksilver (Evan Peters) were also released and they appear to be wearing new costumes from what was seen in “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” In the picture, they both can be seen wearing black and green suits as they look at each other. Michael Fassbender is also seen in his Erik Lensherr look. He is seen wearing a red plaid shirt and appears to have a beard.

One of the most interesting pictures was of Charles McAvoy as Professor X. He can be seen sporting long hair (he will reportedly go bald during the course of the film) and sitting on the wheel chair as Mystique, Hank McCoy (Nicholas Hoult) and other mutants stand around him.

“X-Men: Apocalypse” is being shot in Montreal. Bryan Singer is directing it from the screenplay by Simon Kinberg. According to Singer the characters in the film are very different from previous X-Men films.

“These are very different characters than they were in the films X-Men 1, 2, and 3. They are at times in their lives when they are at the most opposite of what they would become. That’s a thrill to me, to take characters I crafted so many years ago and flip them completely on their side and show how they evolved and began,” Singer said to Yahoo Movies.

The film opens May 27, 2016.
