Olivia Munn, who plays Psycloke in “X-Men: Apocalypse,” recently posted a new video to Instagram showing off her sword skills. In the video, she can be seen rotating a red sword with her hand. She's dressed in black leggings and a white top and as the video ends she takes a deep breath and brings down her sword. The caption reads, "Learned some new tricks." It seems that Munn is practicing hard for her performance in the film.

In the comic, Psycloke (aka Betsy Braddock) is a trained knife martial artist. She gains martial arts skills after her mind is placed in the body of Japanese female ninja Kwannon. She also gains the power of telekinesis. The character first appeared in “Captain Britain” No.8. Many alternative versions of Psycloke has been represented in the comic book; it's not clear which version will appear in the film.

The character of Psycloke has been played by Meiling Melançon in 2006’s “X-Men: The Last Stand.” Munn’s appearance in Bryan Singer’s film was confirmed three months ago. The actress will probably wear a latex costume in the film, as she hinted in her previous Instagram post where she posted a snap of herself wearing a blue glove and gray body suit. She captioned the picture, “If latex fits.”

“X-Men: Apocalypse" is being shot in Montreal and according to Singer the film will not be set in a different universe.

“[The ‘Apocalypse’ movie] won’t necessarily create an alternate universe [like the comic], but there may be some swapping things that I’m playing with,” he said to Entertainment Weekly.

“From a visual standpoint it actually may be a bigger movie than 'Days of Future Past' because there’ll be disaster movie imagery, like the title would imply,” said producer Simon Kinberg.

The film opens May 27, 2016.
