Aside from showcasing the white version of its innovative Mi Mix bezel-less smartphone, Xiaomi introduced its new and quite stunning TV at its first-ever CES press conference at the annual Las Vegas trade show. The Chinese company unveiled its frameless television, called the Mi TV 4, this week, and it is getting a lot of attention for its incredibly thin body.

Engadget has learned that Xiaomi’s Mi TV 4 is impressively thin it is slimmer than Apple’s iPhone and Xiaomi’s very own Mi Mix handset. At its thinnest point, the home entertainment display is only 4.9mm wide, making it slimmer than LG’s Wallpaper TV that was introduced to be as thin as a cardboard at 5mm.

Just like LG’s ultra-thin 4K OLED TV, the Mi TV 4 comes with a separate home theater system for its sound output. Xiaomi says the sound system of its TV has Dolby Atmos technology that provides 3D sound quality for a more real-life viewing experience.

While Xiaomi showed off its 65-inch version of the Mi TV 4 at CES, the Chinese company has confirmed that there will be 59-inch and 49-inch versions as well. The 65-inch is retailing in China for “under $2,000,” as per The Verge. The company has yet to disclose the possible release of the product in the U.S. market and its tentative pricing.

Xiaomi’s almost bezel-less Mi TV 4 runs Patch Wall software on top of Android. Patch Wall is mainly a software skin that’s designed to gather user information based on browsing history and give “intelligent recommendations that are tailored” for the user.

“Mi TV 4 is the thinnest TV yet, measuring 4.9 millimeters, practically disappearing when viewed from at a flat angle,” Xiaom’s Vice President of International Hugo Barra said during the presentation, as quoted by VentureBeat. “We put a lot of thought in designing Patch Wall. We believe it’s a substantial improvement over any [smart] TV UI.”
