Fresh rumors suggest that Xiaomi is very poised to release the successor of Xiaomi Mi 4 next month. Speculations suggest that the release date of the first ever Snapdragon 820 smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 5, is Dec. 3

In the recent past, several tech sites had reported that since the shipping of the Snapdragon 820 was to start in 2016, the release of the Xiaomi Mi 5 was pushed to next year. Leaksfly, who holds a consistent track record of revealing leaked information on upcoming phones, has revealed that the much awaited Xiaomi Mi 5 will release on Dec. 3, G for Games reported.

Since the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset, rumors also suggest that Qualcomm will be announcing the new chipset on Nov. 20. Rumors have it that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be coming with a 5.2-inch or 5.3-inch Quad HD display. It will be equipped with ClearForce technology from Synaptics. It will help the display to distinguish between different touch pressures. The display will be shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

The Snapdragon 820 chip will be supported by 4 GB of RAM. It will be coming with a 16-megapixel camera and the front panel is expected to feature a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. It will arrive in native storage options of 32 GB and 64 GB. The handset will feature a USB Type-C connector and a fingerprint scanner. It will be equipped with a battery of 3,030 mAh capacity

According to Xiaomi Today, Xiaomi has recently announced a 17 percent price cut on the Mi 4 handset. It may be an indication that the Chinese firm is try to clear the inventory of its 2014 flagship to make way for the arrival of Xiaomi Mi 5. Speculations are rife that the base model of the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be priced around $315.
