Yahoo Inc on Tuesday unveiled new design of its portal web page paving its flagship gateway to the main era of internet, with its second quarter profit soaring 8 percent.

Its new style features customizable and enables users to personalize their Yahoo both PC and mobile from My Favorites, App Maker, and PC to Mobile Sync, News, and social updates options and much more.

“By focusing on what people have told us they want, our new homepage is designed to help them stay on top of what is going on in their world, and in the rest of the world.”

Meanwhile, Yahoo reported 8 percent increase of net income of $141.39 million or 10 cent per share from $131.16 million or 9 cents per share in the same quarter a year ago. And revenue was $1.573 billion down from $1.798 billion in a year earlier.

The new makeup page is now open in US and will be available in Europe and India also this week.
