The home team has won every game of the American League Championship Series, which is a good sign for the Houston Astros when they host the New York Yankees at Minute Maid Park on Saturday night in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series.

The winner will travel to Los Angeles to face the Dodgers on Tuesday in Game 1 of the World Series.

The Astros began the series by winning the first two games by the identical score of 2-1.

The Yankees returned the favor when the series shifted to New York. Joe Girardi's squad won all three games at Yankee Stadium, and in convincing fashion, outscoring the Astros, 19-5.

After a long scoreless drought, the Astros finally started to post runs Friday to force the elimination game. Jose Altuve drove in three runs in Game 6 to give Houston a 7-1 win.

The Yankees will have C.C. Sabathia on the mound in Game 7. The veteran southpaw pitched six scoreless innings in Game 3 and has a 2.30 ERA in three postseason starts.

A.J. Hinch will go with Charlie Morton, who conceded seven earned runs in 3 2/3 innings in Game 3. In his one start against the Boston Red Sox in the American League Divisional Series, Morton allowed two runs over 4 1/3 innings. But both of Morton's postseason outings were on the road, and in the regular season he owned a 3.34 ERA at home.

"It's going to be a crazy night," Altuve said Friday about Game 7. "I know both teams are going to go out there and leave everything they have."

The Yankees, who reached the postseason with a wild-card berth, have had their backs against the wall many times before. Another win would continue their unexpected run.

"We've been in this situation throughout the year," said Aaron Judge. "We've gone down in series. We've gone down in games. We've always fought back. That's what we're going to continue to do."

Prediction: Sabathia will likely have a solid outing, while Morton will be on a short leash. Expect Hinch to make the right bullpen moves to ensure a tight Astros win.
