Zoe Saldana Dazzles at 'Colombiana' LA Premiere [PHOTOS]

Latin star, Zoe Saldana, stars in the summer's latest action flick. Colombiana features a woman who, after witnessing her parents being brutally killed, grows up to be a cold assassin. The film also stars Michael Vartan and Callum Blue.

After playing Cataleya I feel different, Saldana says of her character in the Colombiana. I will never go into a restaurant or anywhere and sit with my back to the exit. Now I always sit with my back to the wall so I can assess everyone in the room and everyone who comes in, just in case.

The actress was really challenged by playing this intensive role. However, Saldana admits it was after filming Avatar, that really lead her to a breakdown. The year after Avatar was just emotionally overwhelming. I was traveling all over the world, waking up in different time zones, she said. Your body gets exhausted and by the end of the year I just collapsed. I was sitting in my hotel room and I couldn't stop crying. I couldn't stay awake. I must have slept for an entire month.

Saldana is back and better than ever in this action-packed film! On Aug. 24, the stars of Colombiana all came out for the premiere in Los Angeles. Here are some photos of the red carpet event!
