  • Adele has not released any albums since 2015
  • She is expected to release her fourth album in 2021
  • The singer has confirmed the album, but she is yet to reveal official release date

Adele’s highly-anticipated fourth album is “amazing,” revealed songstress’s close friend and comedian Alan Carr. Five years after the release of her last album “25,” fans of the “Hello” singer will be excited to know that the new music may not be far away.

Carr, who is believed to be Adele’s fan and best mate, has admitted to having heard some tracks from her new album. “I've heard some tracks on it," Carr said in an interview with “RuPaul's Drag Race” U.K. judge Michelle Visage, Grazia UK reported Wednesday.

The 44-year-old television presenter promised that these tracks are nothing less than astounding.

“Oh my gosh, it’s so amazing. It’s so amazing,” Carr gushed about Adele’s new music by the Grammy-winner.

"I said to her, I said, 'That voice is like an old friend,' " he added. "Because there are some people in the charts who sound a bit like Adele and you go, 'Oh, they sound Adele'' and then when you hear Adele's voice again, you go, 'Oh no, there's only one. There's only one Adele.' "

Adele, who launched her career with the debut album “19” in 2008, has released a scanty amount of albums in the past 12 years. However, the 32-year-old English singer-songwriter has been decorated with the most prestigious laurels and critic acclaim in the music industry.

For years, the singer has been teasing her upcoming album without a certain release date. However, the mother-of-one spent most part of the 2020 getting fit and losing weight. Singer, who is otherwise reticent about her personal life, shared a few updates with her fans.

During the conversation, Carr was asked whether her voice went “skinny,” too after her massive transformation. To this, he responded by saying, “No, no, no. She's still got chunky, but a funky voice. Don't worry."

“Someone Like You” hitmaker recently dropped hints about her fourth studio album while hosting the “Saturday Night Live” episode in October 2020, according to US Weekly. She explained to the audience why is she hosting the show and is not the musical guest on the show.

“Why isn’t she the musical guest?’ and stuff like that, and there are a few reasons,” Adele said. “My album’s not finished and I’m also too scared to do both. I’d rather just put on some wigs … have a glass of wine or six and just see what happens. Who knows?”
