The Affair
Cole's (Joshua Jackson) perspective will be shown in "The Affair" Season 2. Showtime

Get ready for more lies and deception. Showtime has announced when fans can expect to see new episodes of “The Affair,” the Golden Globe award-winning drama about cheating spouses. “The Affair” Season 2 will premiere Sunday, Oct. 4 at 10 p.m. EDT after the premiere of “Homeland” Season 5. There are more than two months until the premiere, but a few details about the new season have already been revealed.

Noah’s Sister – Noah (Dominic West) might be a little less mysterious this year. Audiences will get to know more about the writer and teacher as his family is introduced. E! Online reports that one character to make their way into the storyline is his sister Nina, who is described as “hyper-fit and equally as attractive.”

New Perspective – When Showtime debuted a teaser for “The Affair” Season 2, they also revealed a new twist: more perspectives. Last year, viewers only saw the point of view of Alison (Ruth Wilson) and Noah. However, the spouses that were cheated on, Helen (Maura Tierney) and Cole (Joshua Jackson), will also be telling the story in Season 2. Watch the teaser below:

Love Interest – Along with Cole’s point of view, fans will get to see him start to move on. As previously reported, Luisa (Miranda Rae Mayo), a young woman who immigrated to the U.S. illegally as a child, will be his new love interest.

Scotty’s Death – Expect a focus on Scotty's death in the second season. It sounds like “The Affair” will reveal some much-needed answers about the mysterious circumstances surrounding the killing. “I think that we will get to the crime in the second season, whether the case is closed, I can't say,” executive producer Sarah Treem told E! Online. “But I definitely think we're going to get to Scotty's death in the second season.”

Legal Issues – Could it be Scotty’s death that brings around Bruce Butler’s (Jon Doman) family lawyer? Richard Schiff will play the attorney, Jon Gottlief, Deadline reports, and he’ll be around all season.

“The Affair” Season 2 premieres Sunday, Oct. 4 at 10 p.m. EDT on Showtime.
