A holiday hit is back with even more technological capabilities than ever before. Amazon (AMZN) has worked with creator Gemmy Industries to sync up the Big Mouth Billy Bass with its Alexa voice assistant for what should be hours of entertainment.

The talking fish lip syncs to everything that Alexa is saying to give owners a new way of interacting with the device. The fish can be hooked up to an Amazon Echo through Bluetooth, allowing it to respond to voice commands, dance to music, and basically wiggle its way into your heart.

The fish is programmed to respond to all Alexa commands, allowing users to ask it just about anything from facts to weather reports with instant results. The Big Mouth Billy Bass is now an official Alexa gadget with Amazon certification. Cost of the fish is $40 on Amazon.

“This is not your father's Big Mouth Billy Bass,” Steven Harris, vice president of Product Development at Gemmy Industries said in a company statement. “Our new high-tech version uses the latest technology from Amazon to deliver a hilarious and interactive gadget that takes everyday activities to a fun new level.”

Amazon opened preorders of the Alexa-assisted Big Mouth Billy Bass on Tuesday. The talking fish was first launched in 1999 and has become a popular sensation for fish enthusiasts.

Amazon announced the Alexa Gadgets Toolkit in September 2018, which Gemmy Industries used to create the Alexa-assisted Big Mouth Billy Bass as well as other compatible gadgets.

As of this afternoon, Amazon stock was up 3.71 percent to 1,639.57.
