Apple is expected to release the alleged 4-inch iPhone 5se in the first half of this year. The rumor mill has revealed a leaked photo of the iPhone 5se placed alongside the iPhone 5.

According to 9 to 5 Mac, citing information from popular analyst Mark Gunman, it has been reported that the purported 4-inch iPhone will be launched with the moniker iPhone 5se and not as iPhone 6c as it was rumored previously. The leaked photo of the iPhone 5se that was revealed on One More Thing forums has reported that the smartphone will be coming with rounded edges.

The Apple iPhone 5Se is rumored to be an upgraded edition of the iPhone 5S that was released in 2013. Even though the alleged image appears to be genuine, there is no way to confirm whether the smartphone placed on the right side of the iPhone 5 is the iPhone 5se. The arrival of the iPhone 5se seems to be imminent as a leaked video of the small-sized iPhone had surfaced in the previous week.

The iPhone 5se carries a codename of N69 and is expected to be powered by Apple A8 chipset. It will also feature the M8 motion co-processor. The very same chipset is available on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that was released in 2014.

The rear side of the smartphone will be fitted with an 8-megapixel camera and the front side will be housing a selfie camera of 1.2-megapixel. The main camera will be capable of shooting Live Photos, a feature that will let the smartphone shoot a video clip of 3 seconds. Other features of the main camera include autofocus for shooting videos and panorama.

The iPhone 5se is likely to feature a Touch ID sensor. Other specs of the purported smartphone include NFC, barometer, VOLTE, v4.2 Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. It is expected to be available in multiple color variants such as space gray, silver, gold and rose gold.
