Right after introducing the 2015 flagship OnePlus 2, the Chinese tech startup is apparently gearing up to launch the OnePlus Mini, also referred as the OnePlus X. This handset has cleared the FCC and now, it has apparently passed through the Chinese equivalent of FCC called TENAA, revealing features and photos.

New images of the OnePlus X, or OnePlus Mini, have been uploaded in Weibo, which was later picked up by G For Games. An anonymous tipster also gave the site some key configuration details that are believed to be part of the upcoming device. One such feature is the ClearForce-ready display, which is also rumored to be part of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7. On the other hand, Apple's iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus come with Force Touch technology on board. The ClearForce technology is reportedly similar to Apple’s Force Touch in the Android world.

As far as the rumored OnePlus X specifications go, the handset will feature a 5.0-inch display, aided by 1,080 x 1,920 pixels screen resolution. This is apparently the same display combination seen in the Xiaomi Mi 4c, Phone Arena reported. Under the hood, the phone will come powered by a Snapdragon 801 processor.

Interestingly, the Xiaomi Mi 4c also comes with "ClearForce-ready Synaptics S3708 touchscreen controller." In addition, there is a unique "SideTouch" technology in the Xiaomi device. This feature allows the device owners to trigger or start any app, including the camera app, by just touching the left side of the screen. According to Phone Arena, the OnePlus X could come with a similar feature.

Meanwhile, the new Weibo images sourced from TENAA has ignited the doubt that OnePlus likely has two devices to offer. Phone Arena reported that earlier rumors suggested a flagship-like MediaTek MT-6795T SoC on the upcoming OnePlus device. However, going by the latest info, it looks like the handset will settle for an old Snapdragon 801 chip. This is precisely why the site thinks there could be two devices -- a compact mid-ranger called OnePlus Mini and a high-end device dubbed OnePlus X.

Other rumored OnePlus X features include dual front-facing speakers, 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensor with phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) and electronic image stabilization (EIS), instead of OIS.
