Amber Heard and Elon Musk are reportedly ready to take their relationship to the next level.

A source close to the couple told People, “Elon and Amber are already very serious about each other. She spends a lot of time at his house and is very comfortable there. Amber’s also gotten to know his kids and spends time with them as well.” When asked what Heard and Musk typically do during their free time, the insider said that they typically go on romantic dinner dates. “They also love hanging out in Malibu… Musk is noticeably happier since he started dating Amber,” the insider concluded.

Heard and Musk just came out publicly a few weeks ago, but the source claimed that the latter already had his eyes set on the former when she starred in “Machete Kills” in 2013. At that time, Heard made a cameo in Robert Rodriguez’s film, but the actress was also in a relationship with Johnny Depp. Heard and Depp tied the knot in 2015, and on May 23, 2016, the actress filed for divorce from the “The Pirates of the Caribbean” actor.

“When the time was right and they were both single last year, he started pursuing her romantically. She was playing hard to get for a while, which made him even more interested,” the source said. Musk was previously married to Talulah Riley and Justine Musk.

Meanwhile, Heard’s whirlwind romance with Depp officially came to an end on Aug. 16, 2016. At that time, the estranged couple’s divorce case was finally settled. Heard also withdrew her initial request for a domestic violence restraining order against Depp. In a joint statement which they released to Entertainment Tonight, Heard and Depp requested everyone to give them space and respect they both deserve.

“Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gains. There was never an intent of physical or emotional harm. Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity,” the statement read.

Depp agreed to pay Heard a whopping $7 million to settle their divorce. The settlement includes all of the things Heard paid for, including attorney’s fees. A source told the publication that the actor immediately decided to settle their divorce for fear that the media would continue to report about his severed finger. Other insiders told the publication in August of last year that Depp punched a wall during one his fights with Heard. This resulted in the actor injuring his finger.

Depp also accused Heard of cheating on him with Billy Bob. But a source told People that there was no truth to the actor’s claims. “Billy Bob definitely, absolutely did not have an affair with Amber,” the source said. The filming for fifth installment of “The Pirates of the Caribbean” was ultimately put on hold during this time to accommodate Depp’s recovery.

Additionally, Depp opted for the settlement for fear that Heard’s divorce filing could go to trial.
