Following the heavily anticipated official announcement of this year’s flagship Radeon RX 6000 series, AMD’s advertising and marketing machines keep on churning with a new set of gaming performance data of the RX 6900 XT, RX 6800 XT and RX 6800 and that of its competitor Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090, RTX 3080 and RTX 2080 Ti.

As AMD prepares to release the Radeon RX 6000 series officially, it shared additional gaming benchmarks on its official website. The new set of benchmarks showcases how the company’s upcoming graphics card series fare against its rival Nvidia RTX 3000 series. It catalogs the series’ performance over ten PC titles with 4K & WQHD resolutions, including “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare,” “Resident Evil 3” and “Doom Eternal.”

Since the company conducted the tests in its own lab, it is wiser to take the benchmarks with a grain of salt. Despite that, however, the new gaming performance data offer a peek at the upcoming graphics card series’ performance.

Fortunately, Reddit user Rafe-Q took the initiative to analyze all the data and provided an easy to understand the comparison. The Reddit user came up with several conclusions, which could help those torn between the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series and Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series.

According to Rafe-Q, the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT is approximately 7% faster than the GeForce RTX 3080 at 1440p.  The AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT is reportedly slightly faster than the RTX 3090 by 1.5% and 10% faster than the RTX 3080. Meanwhile, the Radeon RX 6800 is allegedly 5% slower than the RTX 3080 but 20% faster than the RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 3070.

The Reddit user also said that at 4K, the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT is approximately 3% faster than the GeForce RTX 3090. On the other hand, the Radeon RX 6800 XT is 5% slower than the GeForce RTX 3090, but 5% faster than the RTX 3080. Meanwhile, the AMD Radeon RX 600 is 15% faster than the GeForce RTX 2090 Ti and RTX 3070.

Rafe-Q also said that the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT is close to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 in terms of performance, while AMD targets the RX 6800 to compete against the RTX 3070 Ti.
