Amy (Duggar) King is not surprised her parents, Deanna Duggar and Terry Jordan, are divorcing after nine years of marriage. In a new interview the cousin of former "19 Kids & Counting" stars Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard admits that her parent's relationship was on the rocks for a while.

“They’ve had a roller-coaster relationship for as long as I can remember,” Amy explained to People magazine. “I’ve been the mediator between them. Instead of just being their daughter, I was also the counselor.”

According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Jordan filed for divorce from Duggar on Dec. 20 citing her "intolerable" treatment towards him as the reason behind their split. The outlet reports the former couple have already divided their "marital property and debts."

Supposedly, the pair has been off and on for a while. It seems that Duggar and Jordan’s relationship was at one point volatile. Duggar filed for a restraining order in 1992 alleging Jordan threatened to kill her and their baby.

News of Duggar and Jordan's divorce comes a few months after their daughter married Dillon King in a small Bentonville, Arkansas, ceremony.

On Saturday, King shared a photo of her and her husband standing in front of a new Honda HR-V car he bought her for Christmas.

“Ahhh!!! I was shocked! Literally shocked this morning! My husband surprised me *BIG* time!... This is such a blessing! My other car was a gas guzzler with high miles," she wrote. "@kingdillpickle You are always going over and beyond anything I could have ever imagined! You are just so precious! Thank you for everything you do… you are my world!”
