The Android 6.0 Marshmallow roll out will begin soon for a wide range of devices from Xiaomi, Lenovo, Huawei, Asus, OnePlus, Android One and other devices. The firmware upgrade will not only bring user interface improvements but also enhanced security.

GSM Arena has revealed the list of devices that will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow from the beginning of this year:

Xiaomi

Xiaomi Mi Note 2, Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime and Mi 4i from 2015 are the first smartphones from the Chinese brand to get Android 6.0 from start of 2016. The update will also arrive for 2014 devices like Xiaomi Mi 4, Mi Note and Mi Note Pro.

Huawei

Huawei will bring Android M upgrade to a slew of devices from 2015 such as Ascend P8, Ascend P8 Max, Ascend G8, Mate S, Honor 6 Plus, Honor 7, Honor 7i and MediaPad X2. The beginning of this year will also 2014 Huawei devices like Huawei Mate 7, Honor 6, Mate 7, Honor 4X, Honor 4C and Ascend G7 receiving Android 6.0 upgrade.

Lenovo

Lenovo is yet to start the Android 6.0 roll out for its devices. It will first release the upgrade for devices like Lenovo K3 Note, A7000, A7000 Plus, Vibe S1 and Vibe P1. The ZUK line of devices like ZUK Z1 is also poised to get upgraded to Android 6.0 at the start of 2016.

Asus

Asus will release Android 6.0 to wide range of its devices from 2015, such as ZenFone 2 series, ZenFone 2 Laser, ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone Selfie and ZenFone Go. The Padfone S from 2013 is also going to receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade soon.

OnePlus

OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X users will be the first ones to receive Android 6.0 update. It will also be made available for OnePlus One users.

Android One

Several Android One devices that came out last year will soon be running on Android 6.0 OS. Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V, Spice Dream Uno, Symphony Roar A50, Cherry Mobile One, MyPhone Uno, Mito Impact A10 and Nexian Journey One smartphones will get upgraded to Android 6.0 soon.

Other Devices

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade will be released soon for BlackBerry Priv and Nvidia Shield Table K1.
