Sensing the market demand for smaller displays, Apple recently released the pocket-friendly 4-inch iPhone SE in the U.S. Reports suggest that this handset’s reception is dwindling already, unlike other iPhones released thus far. On the other hand, Apple’s flagship for 2017 dubbed iPhone 7 and its bigger sibling iPhone 7 Plus are already making waves online with umpteen leaks showing alleged photos and possible configurations.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has an envious track record of predicting Apple-related news, apparently said only the iPhone 7 Plus will feature a dual camera setup on the back of the device. According to MacRumors, Apple received dual lens camera hardware from suppliers for evaluation in February this year.

Similar to the current-generation iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will continue to flaunt the same form factor. This also means the handsets will be carrying the same 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays. However, there is no information available to ascertain the screen resolution of the devices.

Speaking of dual camera setup, the recently released LG G5, for instance, come with one. Not to forget, the insane official commercial of the G5, starring actor Jason Statham, showed the device capabilities in a hilarious way.

Coming back to Apple, Ming-Chi Kuo was apparently cautious in warning the Apple fans that with a slew of high-end devices earmarked to release featuring dual sensors, the iPhone 7 Plus’ setup might “underwhelm” initially.

As far as the release date goes, the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will reportedly be launched sometime in September, similar to last year.
