  • Apple made its maps more intricate for the Maps app
  • Users in the U.S. now have a separate indoor map for public places such as airports and malls
  • These features are also set to arrive in Europe and could be announced in upcoming Apple events

Apple recently confirmed that it has redesign the Apple Maps in the U.S. with additional features. U.S. Apple users can now see more maps of public places such as shopping malls and airports. The new Apple Maps redesign added many features that other mapping apps have yet to include.

The new Apple Maps redesign introduced some detailed maps of public places such as malls and airports, according to the Apple Newsroom. Apple was able to make all these indoor maps through its sensor vans and the anonymous data gathered from Apple users.

Other additions include more detailed views of roads and buildings. 3D views of flyovers can also be checked in the app. The brand new Maps can now assist not only people living in the area but also tourists who are visiting the location.

After some areas in the U.S. received this treatment, indoor maps, 3D flyovers views and other nifty features will also be arriving to some cities in Europe.

As of now, Apple fans will have to wait for the announcement, which could arrive this coming March. Additionally, the Apple Worldwide Developers Confence 2020 will also happen in June. The company’s focus on improving and supporting services makes it most likely for the company to show the next updates for Apple Map in the event.
