Apple’s TV Plus streaming platform has just been released and Apple is putting effort to establish itself among its rivals. New smartphone and service purchases are currently bundled with a free Apple TV Plus. Apple sees this move as a “gift for its users.”

According to Apple from its recent earnings call, the free subscriptions are a “gift to its users” as the company freshly released the TV Plus service this November 1. Monthly subscriptions to the Apple TV Plus service cost $4.99 as of its release. People who avail the Apple TV Plus subscription can have five people share the account with the Family Sharing plan.

Other than just simply marketing the Apple TV Plus on its own for its release, the company is actually bundling the subscription when buying its other products. Brand new or refurbished Apple devices purchased right now will be bundled with a full, one-year subscription of Apple TV Plus. Additionally, other services such as Apple Music are also being bundled with the Apple TV Plus.

Apple’s promos for its TV streaming service encourage many customers to buy an Apple device or subscribe to a different Apple service first to get this. So far, this move is a great advantage for Apple as the competition is fierce in this industry. Offering the Apple TV Plus for free for its newer users could encourage more of their fans to find both Apple products and services appealing than its rivals.

As of early 2019, Apple has put in efforts in expanding the company’s collection of services to offer to its customers. Apple is entering in all sorts of industries such as the gaming industry with Apple Arcade, credit card with the Apple Card, and TV streaming with the Apple TV Plus.

All of these services are compatible with many Apple smartphones, tablets, and computers which greatly amps the value of Apple products together. Apple has yet to fully release all of its services that it’s confirmed this year. However, reports about Apple’s next projects are leaning toward newer devices. The Apple TV Plus subscription will be sure to be available on many Apple devices soon.
