Apple's iPhone 12 Studio Lets You Customize Your New Device Before Buying It

Apple has launched the new iPhone 12 Studio – an interactive site that lets users mix and match iPhone 12 series models and accessories before actually buying them.

The new site, first spotted by MacRumors, gives users the opportunity to see how their desired iPhone 12 series model will look like when paired with various accessories of different colors.

For example, those who fancy getting a red iPhone 12 will be able to check how it looks when paired with a silicon case with MagSafe in deep navy, a MagSafe wallet in tan or both.

The interactive site also allows users to save their favorite device, accessory and color combinations, assign names for these and even save a photo of their chosen combinations. This will be very helpful for those who are considering getting a new iPhone 12 phone with accompanying accessories.

The new feature lets consumers see the device like it’s in front of them. It’s like going to a physical Apple Store and trying all sorts of possible combinations, except that it’s done in the comfort of the home via a mobile device.

MacRumors' Joe Rossignol has shared an example of what users can expect to see in the iPhone 12 Studio.

Speaking of mobile devices, the iPhone 12 Studio only works when accessed via a browser using a smartphone. It is not yet available on computers. It’s also not limited to iPhones – consumers can access the interactive site using Android devices as well.

The feature, as per MacRumors, seems similar to the one Apple created for the Apple Watch, called the Apple Watch Studio. This feature was launched after the company unveiled the Apple Watch Series 5 last year.

The Apple Watch Studio allowed customers to mix and match Apple Watch designs and colors, including casing material, casing size, Watch Band material and Watch Band color. This feature, however, works on any browser, unlike the iPhone 12 Studio.

Those who want to get a new iPhone 12 smartphone will now be able to order all four. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro were released a few weeks ago, while the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max are now available for pre-order via Apple’s online store.
