Fans are getting a look at the first sportsbook that will be part of an NFL arena. The Arizona Cardinals have released photos of the BetMGM Sportsbook that is scheduled to open for the start of the 2022 season at State Farm Stadium.

Construction has begun on the building, which will be two stories and nearly 17,000 square feet. The BetMGM Sportsbook is located on the north side of The Great Lawn on the campus of the Cardinals’ stadium. It will feature a sports bar and a 265-foot video wall that allows fans to watch games as they place bets.

“Since the launch of our partnership with BetMGM last August, the response has been incredible,” Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill said in a statement. “When this sportsbook opens next season, it will provide an opportunity to engage and entertain our fans in a way that is unprecedented.”

There will be 25 betting kiosks and 38 televisions at Arizona’s BetMGM Sportsbook. Sports gambling became legal in Arizona in September with the state joining 25 other states across the country that had already legalized the practice.

“The Arizona Cardinals and BetMGM are both committed to enhancing the gameday experience for fans in new and creative ways,” said BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt. “The BetMGM Sportsbook at State Farm Stadium will be one of the most unique and innovative additions to a venue that the sports and entertainment industry has ever seen.”

In September, the Phoenix Suns announced plans for a sportsbook at its arena in partnership with FanDuel.
