Star forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ended all speculation Tuesday by signing a three-year extension with Arsenal. The football community reacted to the news as Aubameyang displayed a sign of loyalty for his organization.

“Signing for this special club was never in doubt,” Aubameyang said, reported by The Guardian.

The 31-year-old has had 111 appearances throughout his stint with Arsenal and has netted 72 goals coupled with 15 assists.

“It’s thanks to our fans, my teammates, my family and everybody at this club that I feel like I belong here. We can achieve big things together. We have something exciting here and I believe the best is to come for Arsenal,” Aubameyang continued.

The official Arsenal social media page fed off Aubameyang’s words and posted a tribute for their star, celebrating his extension with the organization.

Known as an explosive athlete, Aubameyang’s movements on the pitch are considered elite. With his quick first step, coupled with his elite finishing as an aggressive player makes him a valuable asset for any club to have.

“He’s a superb player with an incredible mentality,” Mikel Arteta said.

This gives the manager a fine athlete to work with for the next three years.

“He’s an important leader for the team and a big part of what we’re building. He wants to be up there with the best players in the world and leave his mark. He can achieve that here,” Arteta added.

There are big expectations for the center forward as Aubameyang himself knows the importance of winning for the Arsenal organization.

"I’ve seen incredible players, passionate players, invincible players. I dream of being one of them, amongst the best and staying in the hearts of the fans forever,” Aubameyang articulated, per Goal.

It will be crucial to monitor how the star will continue his career with Arsenal and if he can continuously rise to success.

"I want to become an Arsenal legend like Thierry, Wrighty, [Tony] Adams, [Dennis] Bergkamp, too many to mention. It means so much for me to be the captain of this special club. I want to leave a legacy. This is where I belong," Aubameyang added.
