The roster of Barcelona is considered deep with a mix of veterans and once-in-generation-type players. But even the caliber of a club like Barca is not immune from internal conflicts and an abundance of brewing rumors.

While Lionel Messi has been a staple figure for Barcelona, the recent stretch in the La Liga season has speculated turmoil from the star player and the coaching staff. Rumors have spread that Quique Setien’s assistant Eder Sarabia and Messi haven’t been in agreement as of late.

Despite these reports, Setien ensured that it’s common to have disagreements within the club. Per Goal.com, Atletico Madrid’s manager Diego Simeone was asked on his take regarding the news. The veteran manager shared that it wasn’t his main concern.

"You know me, I don't give my opinion on what's going on in other dressing rooms," Simeone said.

The grapevines indicating a rift between Messi and the coaching staff may be a hot topic now but Simeone doesn’t see it as an immediate issue for him.

"I just make an opinion on ours. We need to keep it protected, always take care of it and always manage the feeling of the players, which is the most important for a squad,” Simeone added.

It isn’t easy to manage a club and Simeone recognizes that. There will be several factors that come into play when dealing with a locker room and it will entail a little more patience and understanding from everyone.

"The most important thing is to manage, in my team, the emotional part, which I consider to be the key part," Simeone added.

The problem with internal issues is it has to be dealt with much care and urgency. When it comes to Simeone, he shared that an informal chat could definitely help when these emergencies arise.

"I wouldn't tell you, and I would try to solve it naturally in our camp, which is the dressing room or the training session,” the veteran manager concluded.

It will be interesting to see how Barcelona moves forward in the coming few games given how tense it has been at La Liga. With Messi still on top of his game, it will be crucial to have everyone in the club on board as one.
