ABC’s “The Bachelor” has delivered countless dramatic moments and scandals over the years. However, heads are turning before Season 20 of the reality-television series even airs. There are numerous reports and rumors surrounding the women pursuing 2016 star Ben Higgins.

The latest season of “The Bachelor” kicks off Monday, but we’re breaking down all the gossip surrounding the Season 20 cast beforehand.

Is a New Contestant Friends With Kaitlyn Bristowe?

Ben was dumped by Kaitlyn on “The Bachelorette,” but rumor has it he may be pursuing one of her friends. Cast member Jami Letain is a 23-year-old bartender who hails from St. Albert, Alberta. According to Reality Steve, Jami used to work with Kaitlyn at a restaurant called the Cactus Club. There is even a photograph of the two together.

Reality-TV Veterans

Haley and Emily Ferguson are 22-year-old twins competing for Ben’s heart, and have a history of being on reality-TV shows. The twins appeared on the CMT series “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team” but failed to land a spot. They didn’t give up their dreams of dancing professionally. A year later, they made headlines by auditioning for the Lakers Girls.

Not Interested, Lady

“The Bachelor” will be shaking things up in Season 20 by allowing two alums, Becca Tilley and Amber James, to return to the show. Both girls competed during Chris Soules’ season, but were eliminated. They’ll get a second chance to find love in 2016, but Reality Steve reported Ben might not be so interested.

“I can tell you with about as much confidence as I can without outing any sources the reason Ben isn’t going to pick Becca is because before the season he told her not to come on the show,” the reality-TV blogger said.

Chasing Love on Reality TV Runs in the Family

Contestant Joelle Fletcher isn’t the first person in her family to attempt to find love on reality TV. The 24-year-old real-estate developer, who also goes by the handle JoJo, is the sister of Ben Patton, one of the stars of Eva Longoria’s failed reality-TV show, “Ready for Love.”

That show’s June 4, 2013, finale revealed Ben proposed to Angela Zatopek, but their relationship didn’t last long: Angela confirmed to In Touch Weekly the day after the finale aired that the two broke up.

Did Ben Almost Quit “The Bachelor” Before Filming Began?

Just a few weeks before filming of Season 20 started, rumors were circulating that Ben was considering quitting because he wanted to pursue a relationship with friend Kelly Osborn. The report was published by OK magazine, but remains unconfirmed.

“The Bachelor” Season 20 premieres on ABC Monday, Jan. 4, at 8 p.m. EST. The brand-new series, “Bachelor Live,” will follow at 10 p.m. EST.
