No hard feelings here! The “Bachelor” fan base was in shock last month when JoJo Fletcher was named the 2016 star of “The Bachelorette” over front-runner Caila Quinn. Filming for the upcoming season is underway, and Caila is now speaking out about her former co-star.

While at the Kindred Foundation for Adoption’s second annual gala in New York City this week, Caila, who made it to the final three before getting dumped by Ben Higgins, opened up to People magazine about JoJo’s journey to find love. Although some viewers might assume that Caila is disappointed over not being named the new star of “The Bachelorette,” she says she’s happy for JoJo.

“I really am genuinely excited for JoJo,” Caila told People. “She is the kindest person; I hope she meets the one.”

Rumors about Caila’s potential casting on “The Bachelorette” sparked prior to the finale of the hit ABC reality show. In early March, a camera crew was spotted filming in her hometown of Hudson, Ohio. It was initially reported that the filming was for an introduction package for the upcoming season of the “Bachelor” spinoff. However, during the post-finale show, “After the Final Rose,” host Chris Harrison revealed that runner-up JoJo Fletcher would be getting a second chance at finding love on TV.

Caila took to Twitter after the announcement was made, choosing to congratulate JoJo, as well as Ben’s fiancé, Lauren Bushnell.

Since the show ended, Caila has moved to New York City. She also confirmed to People magazine that she left her position as a software sales rep. She’s now the marketing manager for fitness startup BollyX.

“The Bachelorette” premieres on ABC Monday, May 23, at 8 p.m. EDT.
