After an impressive run with “The Gunners,” Aubameyang has now emerged as a valuable target in the transfer market. His contract situation could spark a major transfer battle this summer and one of the clubs reportedly interested is LaLiga giants Barcelona.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang remains a major transfer prospect for Barcelona and according to Besoccer.com, the feeling is mutual. The Arsenal star has been linked with a move away from the Premier League club, with his contract due to expire next year. Reports also claim that Barca's interest in the forward appears to be ongoing and that the LaLiga giants have seen Aubameyang as an affordable option since January of this year.

Another interesting remark about Aubameyang is that he has been regarded as a better player than former Barcelona star Neymar.

The former Borussia Dortmund man has been lethal in front of goal since joining Arsenal. And despite the fact that Mohamed Salah is getting way more hype than Aubameyang, a graphic now shows that the Gabonese attacker is ahead of Neymar in the list of players with most goals and assists since 2017.

According to the graphic prepared by SkySports, Aubameyang has more goal and assist contributions than Neymar since August 2017. Though Neymar has played fewer games at the time, it was quite evident that he was also playing in a far less competitive league with a team that has been set up perfectly for him. Aubameyang on the other hand, has majorly outscored the most expensive player of all time despite often playing in Unai Emery’s dysfunctional and bland system, Just Arsenal reported.
