  • Fati is expected to remain with Barca despite other teams showing interest in the 17-year-old

One of the young rising stars of Barcelona, Ansu Fati, has proven that he belongs as an integral part of their club. Despite other teams such as Manchester United gaining interest for his services, Barcelona has made it clear that Fati belongs to Camp Nou.

Per Goal.com, the 17-year-old winger has a high potential to make it big for Barcelona. Per club director Xavier Vijona, they don’t plan on shipping the young talent to other clubs.

"We won't use players from the academy to make money," Vijona said.

"In principle, we have no intention of selling the players we believe will make the first team,” Vijona added.

The services of someone like Fati may benefit any squad given his speed, agility and cerebral approach to the game. This was evident with how Fati performed in Barcelona’s 2-0 win against CD Leganes. The youngster was put into the game and he immediately made his presence felt. With a composed disposition and confidence of a veteran, Fati was able to tally the opening goal of the match.

Star player Lionel Messi finished off their opponents with another goal that solidified Barcelona’s victory. Currently, in the La Liga standings, Barca stands on top with 20 wins, four draws and five losses. They’ve won five of their last six bouts as they hold an advantage over Real Madrid with 64 points.

The recent performance of Fati showed how valuable he could be for the team. With a locker room full of stars and experienced players, Fati may be on the way to grow as a big name in the future. In his 17 appearances in Barcelona’s La Liga lineup, he’s able to tally five goals and one assist.

It will be interesting to see how Fati’s future with the team holds up. The Spanish national already has the tools to become a great player and it’s only a matter of time until he makes the most out of these. The roster of Barcelona is full of talent and Fati has already shown signs that he’s ready to rise above everyone else in the lineup.
