Ben Affleck burst into tears during a romantic dinner date with his wife Jennifer Lopez in France Sunday.

On the night of the 53-year-old singer’s birthday, the newlyweds enjoyed a private meal at Girafe Paris, an upscale restaurant in front of the Eiffel Tower, where Affleck and Lopez shared a “tender moment” that led to tears, TMZ reported.

It’s unclear why the 49-year-old “Argo” director got emotional, but the outlet suggested that it did not seem to be due to any disagreement. Photos obtained by TMZ showed Lopez embracing her husband as he cried.

The “Marry Me” star sweetly grabbed Affleck’s face close to her chest in an effort to console him.

Affleck was also seen smiling with a flushed face as a waiter brought him and Lopez a cake with sparklers.

After the intimate dinner, Affleck and Lopez went on a stroll on the streets of Paris and were seen with smiles on their faces.

Affleck and Lopez are on a “post-wedding” getaway in the French capital with their children after the couple's surprise wedding in Las Vegas on July 16, People reported.

The “Justice League” actor was spotted having lunch with his 13-year-old daughter Seraphina at celebrity chef Cyril Lignac's Aux Prés Monday. Lopez also stepped out with her 14-year-old twins Emme and Max for a shopping trip at Paris' Rue Saint Honoré, where they reportedly had an appointment at the Hermès flagship store.

After their separate outings, the family, including Affleck’s 17-year-old daughter Violet, continued shopping by the Arc de Triomphe, according to the magazine.

According to People, a clerk at Micromania-Zing, a video game retail store, said that Affleck bought "a ton of stuff for the kids." Meanwhile, Lopez was spotted shopping for cosmetics at the Sephora perfume shop on Avenue Victor Hugo.

The family explored the French capital afterward and went on a “private guided tour” at the Musée de l'Orangerie. They ended the night with dinner at Paris' Brasserie Lipp, and dessert at Le Flore en I'Ile, a Berthillon ice cream parlor, the outlet reported.

Prior to spending time with their children, Affleck and Lopez also had some alone time since arriving in Paris last week.

The newlyweds were photographed enjoying a romantic dinner date at a recently opened rooftop restaurant at the hotel Cheval Blanc named Plénitude for a pre-birthday celebration and having a late-night dessert at the same ice cream parlor they had brought their children.

On Friday, Affleck and Lopez were spotted “kissing and cuddling” in public.

An unnamed source, who was a witness of the two’s display of affection at a park bench, told People that the pair were "like two teens... very loving, very attentive," adding, “There weren't a lot of people that time of the morning, and they weren't distracted. It was just them.”

Affleck and Lopez tied the knot at Las Vegas' A Little White Wedding Chapel, months after they announced their engagement in April.

Lopez officially took her husband’s last name, and is now legally known as Jennifer Affleck, according to the wedding license obtained by TMZ.
