  • TikTok user Nivine Jay revealed she rejected Ben Affleck on the dating app Raya thinking his profile was fake
  • Affleck then sent Jay a video on Instagram to prove his identity, according to the actress
  • Jay's TikTok video has since gone viral across several social media platforms

Ben Affleck went viral on social media Tuesday after a TikTok user who matched with him on the dating app Raya — and then rejected him — shared a video he sent her to prove his account wasn't fake.

In the viral TikTok clip she posted Monday, actress Nivine Jay, 29, looked upset as the song "Waking Up in the Morning" by "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Gia Giudice played in the background.

"Thinking of the time I matched with Ben Affleck on Raya and thought it was fake so I unmatched him and he sent me a video on Instagram," she wrote alongside the video.

The clip was accompanied by four skulls and crossbones emojis — along with the video the "Argo" star sent her via Instagram after she rejected him on Raya.

"Nivine, why did you unmatch me?" the 48-year-old actor, who is wearing a red T-shirt, said in the clip. "It's me!"

The TikTok video has since sparked hilarious reactions and memes across social media platforms.

"You could've been with batman himself," one commented.

"HE SAID YOUR NAAAAAAAME!!!! girl u better bring that to all job interviews," another wrote with laughing emoji.

"THIS IS A CULTURAL RESET," Caitlin Reilly added.

"The way he said, 'it's me' my soul would have left my body," another commented, to which Jay replied, "Confirmed my soul did leave my body."

Nicole Byer commented, "I need Ben Affleck on my podcast Why Won’t You Date Me? We can do an episode called Why did you unmatch me."

This comes months after Affleck and ex Ana de Armas parted ways in January after almost a year of dating.

In October 2019, Affleck seemingly addressed the rumors that he uses Raya. In a post for The Midnight Mission, he encouraged others to donate by sharing that he is donating for the organization to help people battling with addiction who don't have the resources.

"Raya, you in? Who else is with me?" he wrote on Twitter.
