Ben Higgins might be kissing his career in sales goodbye.

The Colorado native became a household name when he appeared on Season 20 of “The Bachelor.” Since starring on the ABC show, he and fiancée Lauren Bushnell have been enjoying premarital bliss. They plan to prove that by letting fans into their lives once more, this time through a reality TV spinoff called “Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After.”

In addition to documenting their journey down the aisle, the Freeform show will give viewers a glimpse into Ben’s post-“Bachelor” life. According to a report from Variety, the 28-year-old software salesman will explore several options, including “getting involved in politics.” Executives at Freeform (formerly ABC Family) are thrilled to be behind the series and have faith that fans will enjoy it.

“Ben and Lauren are the biggest ‘Bachelor’ couple of the last 10 years,” said Karey Burke, the executive vice president of programming and development. “Their romance captured everyone’s attention, and we are delighted to continue their story on Freeform.”

While Ben and Lauren prepare for their walk down the aisle, JoJo Fletcher — runner-up on “The Bachelor” Season 20 and current star of “The Bachelorette” — is on a quest to find Mr. Right. JoJo has moved on from the heartbreak of losing Ben, but it seems there are some questions about her reasons for having been on the show in the first place.

On March 23, it was reported that Chad Rookstool, who fans may remember reached out to JoJo while she was on “The Bachelor,” claims she was on the show to boost her celebrity. At the time, he told In Touch Weekly that he and JoJo, who once dated, were intimate “as soon as she got home” from filming. He added that JoJo told him her relationship with Ben “ ‘was TV.’ ” Chad and JoJo reportedly broke up after four months to allow her to appear as the next “Bachelorette.” The reality star’s ex had high hopes that they’ll wind up together somewhere down the line, claiming JoJo told him their goodbye “wasn’t forever.”

Freeform has not announced an airdate for “Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After.”
