Blake Shelton fans have plenty of reasons to rejoice. The 39-year-old country star is back in his chair on “The Voice,” is featured in the coming “Angry Birds” movie, is hosting the Nickelodeon 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards AND has new music coming out! News broke Tuesday that the country singer was working on his 12th studio album, and now details on its first single, “Came Here To Forget,” have been released.

Shelton revealed in a statement (via Entertainment Weekly) that the first single from his coming album will be released on Tuesday, March 8. The tune, written by Craig Wiseman and Deric Ruttan, is being hailed as his “most intimate yet.” But is it about his new girlfriend, Gwen Stefani? It’s certainly a possibility.

According to a release, “Came Here To Forget” is about an “intimate snapshot of a couple’s encounter at a bar.”

“I’ve had a lot of music over the years, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a song that’s such a direct look into my life,” Shelton explained of the single. “That’s why I’m so excited about this particular song.”

The singer has without a doubt had an interesting last year. Shelton split from wife Miranda Lambert in July after four years of marriage. Shortly after he announced his divorce, rumors began circulating that Shelton was romantically involved with his recently single “Voice” co-star, Gwen Stefani. The two kept their relationship profile low before a rep for Shelton confirmed that they were an item in November.

While it’s not clear if “Came Here To Forget” is about Stefani, Shelton did confirm to Entertainment Tonight that the album will definitely touch on his personal life.

“I mean, it doesn’t take, you know, a rocket scientist,” he told ET’s Nancy O’Dell. “If you have followed my career even a little bit in my life, you know what has happened with me in the last, gosh, eight or nine months. It’s all on the record.”

Of course, Shelton’s not the only one using his love life as inspiration for his new music. Stefani’s new single, “Make Me Like You,” is about her beau. Shortly after the live music video premiered during the Grammy Awards in February, Stefani confirmed to Jimmy Kimmel on his late night talk show that the song is about Shelton.

“What’s so crazy is that sometimes tragedy … if you really absorb it … you can turn it into something beautiful,” she told Kimmel.

The song features lyrics like “I was fine before I met you” and “Why’d you have to go and make me like you.”

Blake Shelton’s “Came Here To Forget” will be released on Tuesday, March 8. No release date for the album has been announced.
