Blake Skelton Wants Gwen Stefani To Propose To Him

The fans aren’t the only ones who are eagerly waiting for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani to get engaged. Ellen DeGeneres broached the subject on her show recently, when she had the country singer come in as a guest. Shelton, however, put the responsibility on his girlfriend to make the marriage proposal.

Jennifer Lopez got engaged one week after receiving a wall clock as a gift from DeGeneres on her show, something that the host reminded Shelton when she presented him with a clock when he was a guest recently. During the interview, the host explained that the clock, which had a picture of the two singers kissing, was symbolic about time running out for them to get married.

“So you’re saying...there’s a chance she’s going to ask me to marry her,” Shelton jokingly said after looking at the clock.

The country singer pointed out that he “flipped it around and put it on her.”

DeGeneres continued the joke and said that Stefani will propose since she now knows that Shelton is waiting for her to ask him.

DeGeneres promised to call Stefani later that night to let her know that her boyfriend has been waiting for her to propose to him. While Shelton laughed, the host reminded him to put the clock right above the couple’s bedroom.

The subject of marriage was also something that DeGeneres used in another clip of that interview to set up the scare she usually does with her guests. Shelton had his hand on the table under which the person who was supposed to scare him was hiding. DeGeneres started speaking about marriage to get the country singer to remove his arm.

“I just crap my pants,” Shelton jokingly said after the scare.

Meanwhile, Stefani too talked about how time flies in her recent Instagram post. The two singers have been dating for over three years now, and they seem to be madly in love with each other. It remains to be seen when the two will get engaged.
