  • Brock Lesnar defeated Bobby Lashley at Crown Jewel last month
  • Lashley thrashed Lesnar after the fight
  • Royal Rumble is scheduled to take place on Jan. 28, 2023

WWE RAW star Bobby Lashley has opened up about thrashing Brock Lesnar at the recently-concluded Crown Jewel event.

Lesnar defeated Lashley in a singles match at Crown Jewel 2022 last month in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, after the fight, which was their second-ever singles match, Lashley destroyed the Beast Incarnate. Earlier this year, Lashley captured the WWE title, his second, after beating Lesnar at the Royal Rumble event in January.

While there have been rumors about a third singles fight between Lesnar and Lashley, which could take place at WrestleMania 39, the Almighty is determined to make the match happen.

"Winning a match wasn't important to me in Saudi Arabia, it was beating him up. He won the 1-2-3, but he knows who Bobby is now and he felt the wrath. Nobody has seen Brock like that before, nobody has seen Brock groveling down on his back like looking up, passing out," Lashley said in an interview.

"Nobody has seen Brock like that, I made him like that. So I think it fits what was needed and with that being said, there's one more match that we need to have. He has one and I have one," Lashley added.

While there has been no concrete update on a Lashley vs Lesnar fight, the WWE Company could either have it at Royal Rumble next year in January or save it to the 'The Show of the Shows' – WrestleMania, which is due to take place next April in California.

Earlier this year, at WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns defeated Lesnar and became the first-ever Undisputed WWE and Universal Champion. He has held the Universal title for a record extending over 800 days.

It was earlier reported that Reigns will defend his title against Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble next month. The match will be the next step in WWE's continued story, featuring The Bloodline, Owens, and Sami Zayn.

It is understood that WWE's initial plan was to pit Reigns against Irish wrestler Sheamus, who currently is contracted with SmackDown. However, the plans later changed, with Owens being picked for the big fight.

There were also rumors about Sami Zayn facing Reigns in a singles match at the Royal Rumble. However, the Zayn vs. Reigns match may not happen until February's Elimination Chamber event, as it is going to take place in Zayn's hometown of Montreal, Canada.

Royal Rumble 2023 is scheduled to take place on Jan. 28 at Alamodome Stadium, Texas.
