Sally on "The Bold and the Beautiful"
Sally (Courtney Hope) shares heartbreaking news with the Spectra staff on the May 3, 2017 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.” CBS

She has been arrested and could face up to 15 years in prison for stealing designs from Forrester using hidden cameras, and now, Sally will be forced to let the rest of the Specta Fashions staff know what this means for their futures on the Wednesday, May 3 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

After debuting her new collection and being found out, Forrester looked into pressing charges against Sally (Courtney Hope). They were shocked to learn that because the designs were stolen using hidden cameras that Coco (Courtney Grosbeck) didn’t know were on her clothing, that they had a case for corporate espionage, which would carry an extensive prison sentence. They initially tried to get Coco to turn on her sister on the CBS soap, and Coco was prepared to, though Sally spared her the heartache by confessing for herself. After a talk with Thomas (Pierson Fode), Sally was then arrested. Now, in a preview clip for the newest episode, she will inform Shirley (Patrica Darbo), Saul (Alex Wyse), Darlita (Danube Hermosillo), and others that because she is most likely heading to prison, things are officially done for the company.

“We’re out of business people. Spectra Fashions is closing it’s doors,” she says.

The news will be particularly heartbreaking because she was trying to revive the company started by her Great-Aunt and namesake. In its heyday, Spectra was a viable competitor for Forrester, even as it continually ripped off their designs. Sally had wanted to make it on her own with her original designs, but resorted to the stealing after the bad review which killed her confidence.

However, even though she has the bad news for her staff, Sally may still need convincing that she’s doing the right thing, which she’ll get when CJ (Mick Cain) arrives and gives her a reality check about how she tried, but ultimately couldn’t succeed.

“I’m not Aunt Sally. I know that now,” she says in the clip.

“Okay good. Then take the medicine,” CJ replies. “Let it go, clear out of here, and let’s be done with this.”

However, what Sally doesn’t yet know is that her failure, and eventual downfall, was all pre-orchestrated by none other than Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), who wants the building Spectra was occupying. Bill orchestrated the bad review which prompted Sally’s decision to go along with the plot to steal from Forrester, in the hopes she would eventually close up and allow him to have access to the building. If he hears the building is back up for sale, he will be able to act. But If Sally learns about the plot, she could possibly still have a fighting chance at protecting her family’s legacy.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
