They have a truce over their personal lives, but their professional lives are forcing them to be pitted against one another yet again. Now, as Hope worries that Steffy will be the one who proves successful, her on/off foe will make a move to secure her future on the Thursday, Sept. 6 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Hope (Annika Noelle) and Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) truce over Liam (Scott Clifton) and supportive friendship were rocked when Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) informed them that both of their lines would not be able to continue at Forrester because of the cost. Since then on the CBS soap, Hope has been trying to defend her Hope For The Future line, while Steffy has been wanting to make a case for the bedroom line she’s been revamping.

Hope has admitted to Liam since that she has concerns Steffy will immediately be successful because she’s the co-CEO of the company and Ridge’s daughter. However, she will also admit that she thinks she has no right to necessarily win out since she got everything else she wanted.

“I feel like I can never give back as much as I’ve been given,” she says in a preview clip for the episode.

However, she will still want to be the one to win out in the end, because she doesn’t want to lose everything she’s worked toward. But when she again expresses her concerns that Steffy may win unfairly, Liam will assure her that it won’t be the case.

“Steffy’s been nothing but supportive,” he says in the clip. “Ok? She’s not going to go, like, sabotage you behind your back.”

He may be speaking too soon, however, as spoilers for the soap state that “Steffy explains to Ridge why the bedroom line should be kept rather than Hope for the Future.”

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
