After Team 15, it is Team 5 that is selected for a mission in "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 232. The new episode is titled "Captain Denki’s First Mission."

The official promo trailer of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 232 shows Denki freaking out as he informs his comrades from Team 5, Iwabe and Metal, about the upcoming mission.

Denki tells them this is a serious mission, also this is his first as captain. They ask Denki if they got an insane mission. He reveals they finally got tasked with a B-rank mission.

The second half of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 232 promo trailer reveals Denki, Iwabe and Metal boarding a ship and heading toward an island. Denki is nervous because he possesses no physical skills. Can Team 5 complete its first B-rank mission with Denki leading from the front?

In Episode 231, titled "The Rusted Sword," Team 15’s Tsubaki, Wasabi and Namida visited a severely wounded traveling merchant recovering in the hospital.

They asked what happened that resulted in him landing in the hospital. The injured merchant failed to open up but when he saw Tsubaki’s katana, he lost it and screamed for help.

Later, the trio visited the spot where the bandits attacked him. A piece of evidence hinted that a skilled samurai might be involved with the bandits. Tsubaki noted that it was the result of a sword slash.

When Tsubaki closely looked at the evidence, she knew who was behind it.
