  • Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury took VADA tests
  • Both fighters are clean
  • Wilder-Fury 3 fight date to be determined

The results of the Voluntary Anti-Doping tests taken by Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury from their rematch on Feb. 22 are revealed.

According to the World Boxing Council, the results of the said tests came back clean as both fighters were deemed negative from using unauthorized performance enhancement drugs.

"World Boxing Council heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder certainly came out clean in their doping tests," WBC confirmed. “Tests were conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) as part of the successful Clean Boxing Program (CBP)."

“We want to thank both warriors and their respective teams for their willingness to sign up for the Clean Boxing Program. It demonstrates that they are both exemplary athletes, who testify to their honesty and commitment to boxing," the council continued.

“We are extremely proud of every boxer enrolled in the Clean Boxing Program. We are committed to continuing to work hard to keep our fighters safe."

Fury defeated Wilder in their rematch at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada after the Bronze Bomber's corner threw in the towel late in the seventh round. The win earned the Gypsy King the WBC Heavyweight belt previously held by Wilder after their first encounter ended in a controversial split draw.

The results of the VADA tests brought sound music to both camps especially with a trilogy now in the works after the former undefeated American champion exercised his option for an immediate third fight.

According to the latest update from Fury's promoter Bob Arum, the exact date of the rivalry's third installment is yet to be determined, although he mentioned that the final date stated in the contract is July 18.

"We’ll be discussing that with the PBC people that promote Wilder. The contract provides a date of July 18th as the final date of the fight, but of course, we’ll be discussing all options in the next day or two," Arum said per ESPN. "July 18th is the last date, and then there are injury provisions and that sort of thing.

“So again, until we speak to the other side in which we had a tremendous relationship in this last fight, I can’t definitively give you the date for the third [Fury vs. Wilder] fight,” said Arum.
