Brian Austin Green wants the best for his ex-wife Megan Fox after finding out in his own way that she was dating Machine Gun Kelly.

In May, Green confirmed that his nearly 10 years of marriage with Fox was over. He made the announcement after Fox and Kelly were spotted together in public. Green recently appeared in the "Hollywood Raw" podcast with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn and shared his message to his ex-wife.

“I wish Megan the absolute best in everything. I want her to be completely happy, for her, for the kids. That’s super important," he said.

"No one wants to be around somebody that’s unhappy, nothing good comes out of that. That’s a terrible situation. We are taking it day by day. This is insane, this happened at an unfortunate time that nobody could have predicted with quarantine and the virus and all of that. The news cycle is a bit bigger than we were prepared for. It is what it is.”

Green also hinted that he was aware of Fox and Kelly's relationship even before the media started talking about it. However, he declined to give further details and only said he discovered their romance not from the press.

"I found out in my own way. And that’s as much detail as I’ll give you on that one. I didn’t read about it or anything like that," he said.

Green acknowledged how his divorce from Fox would affect their three sons Noah, 7, Bodhi, 6, and Journey, 3. He remained positive that things could still work out between them when it comes to co-parenting their kids.

"I think it’s up to us, and parents in general, how it affects your kids. Whether it’s a really negative experience or it’s OK and they feel safe in it and feel loved. Everyone still loves and respects everyone, things are just different. It’s not bad different, it’s just different," he explained.

Meanwhile, Kelly and Fox just made their relationship Instagram official last week. Kelly shared a black and white mirror photo of him and Fox on his Instagram account. The lovers stuck their tongue out while wearing black outfits in the snap.

"Waited for eternity to find you again," he wrote in the caption.
