Buttonscarves Enters Türkiye, Marking Its First Step Beyond Southeast Asia

Buttonscarves has set its presence in Türkiye, taking its groundbreaking steps outside Southeast Asia since the brand's founding. The move marks a new chapter for Buttonscarves, celebrating its decade of building a modest fashion and lifestyle brand.
From a scarf to a global movement
Buttonscarves built its name from a single category. It has since grown into a lifestyle brand spanning ready-to-wear, bags, footwear and accessories across Southeast Asia with growing presence in Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia. Buttonscarves stand as the beating heart of the region's modest fashion. Loved by millions of loyal customers, the brand continues to grow through a powerful digital ecosystem, from its website and mobile app to a thriving online community of 1.2 million+ followers.

Through thoughtful design and storytelling, the Buttonscarves scarf became a symbol of confidence for modern women across Southeast Asia, a piece that connects heritage with modernity, and local artistry with global ambition. Every step of the journey has been powered by the same belief: that a scarf can carry a story big enough to travel the world.
The groundwork behind the expansion in Türkiye
Buttonscarves' interest in Türkiye goes back further than this launch. The brand's first steps into the country trace back to Istanbul Modest Fashion Week in 2024 where it appeared alongside Hijabi supermodel Halima Aden wearing the label's own designs. From there, Buttonscarves built its presence digitally first, through buttonscarves.com.tr and on Trendyol, Türkiye's leading e-commerce platform.

The expansion of the business has been extended through the release of the Istanbul Series. This particular scarves collection draws on the city's architecture and Ottoman artistry, reworked through Buttonscarves' own design language, connecting the brand's creative perspective with local cultural inspiration.
The Istanbul Series launched across Indonesia and several other Southeast Asian markets. Specifically, for the release in Türkiye, this collection has been tailored to reflect Turkish market preferences. From the careful selection of fabrics, sizing of the product, and finishing of the scarves, every detail was crafted with the Turkish customer in mind.

Being the only brand that is selected in the 2026 Trendyol Influencers Festival
Buttonscarves' Türkiye local debut began at the Trendyol Influencers Festival, on September 25, held in Istanbul. More than 2,000 of Türkiye's top influencers attended, with the brand supported by the appearance of Şükran Kaymak, a Turkish modern hijabi with a long-standing career as a chef and television personality with 8 million followers.
Buttonscarves stood alongside established names including Nivea, Philips, L'Oréal and P&G as the only chosen modest fashion brand in the lineup. The festival gave Buttonscarves a direct line to Türkiye's influencer community. The team spent the afternoon meeting creators in person and getting a feel for the Turkish market firsthand.

Being the only fashion brand selected for the Trendyol Influencers Festival, out of a curation process is itself a signal: Buttonscarves wasn't invited to fill a category, it was chosen to represent one. That recognition carries into how the brand is approaching Türkiye more broadly.
The Çırağan Palace luncheon which connects Buttonscarves with the Turkish Fashion Scene
Two days later, on September 27, Buttonscarves hosted "Sofra in Istanbul," a private luncheon at Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul — a 19th-century Ottoman palace on the shores of the Bosphorus, long regarded as one of Istanbul's most exclusive venues. The event was attended by key opinion leaders, local brand leaders, fashion and lifestyle influencers, and industry professionals well known in Türkiye. This event invited the attendees for a closer introduction to Buttonscarves, its collections, and the creative direction behind the brand.

The afternoon lunch opened with an introduction session with the Turkish Buttonscarves team, followed by a warm greeting from Linda Anggrea, CEO of Modinity Group and Founder of Buttonscarves. Linda framed the expansion in personal terms:
"For us, Istanbul is not simply another market. It is a city that connects different worlds — East and West, heritage and modernity, culture and commerce. And the more time we spend here, the more we realize how much our communities have in common: our love for family, hospitality, faith, creativity — and, of course, beautiful fashion."
Earning its place, built to stay
Neither event was a one-off. Buttonscarves is treating the Trendyol Influencers Festival and the Çırağan Palace luncheon as the opening move in building relationships with Türkiye's fashion landscape and creator community.
With the Istanbul Series as its opening chapter and its growing digital presence, Buttonscarves is bringing more of its world to Türkiye together with the signature monograms and its other beloved series. The brand is creating a space for meaningful relationships and potential collaborations between Türkiye and Southeast Asia. Through a world of connection, beauty, and meaning, Buttonscarves isn't just arriving in new markets — it's building a global brand that travels the world.
