Caitlyn Jenner and Sophia Hutchins have constantly denied rumors claiming that they are romantically involved, and their latest outing may have proven just that. The pair were spotted in Malibu this past weekend and they seemed to be strangely distant from each other.

This past Sunday, the former Olympian and the aspiring model were photographed as they exit Kristy’s restaurant in the beach city after eating lunch together. In the pictures obtained by Daily Mail, the two looked like strangers to one another as they walked with a big gap between them.

Caitlyn, who was rocking a long sleeve white shirt, black Adidas track pants and a pair of white trainers, appeared somber as she carried her black handbag with her right hand. On the other hand, Sophia had a stern expression on her face while she walked a few feet away from her partner. The Pepperdine University graduate wore a a black hoodie with matching pair of black leggings. She also sported a pair of white tennis shoes.

It wasn’t clear why the 69-year-old reality star and the 23-year-old beauty influencer seemed distant during their outing. It could be due to their busy schedules these days. Hutchins is currently busy working on her SPF line, called Luma Beauty. On the other hand, Caitlyn was recently invited to be one of the panelists for the presentation of a study on mental health portrayals in film and TV.

From the looks of things, the pair were headed to Jenner’s $3.5 million Malibu hilltop mansion after their lunch date. Hutchins has been living with Caitlyn since last year and her decision to move in with Kris Jenner’s ex-husband even fueled romance rumors. However, she did clarify in an interview last October that she and Jenner are just “business partners.”

Sophia currently serves as the executive director of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation. She is also helping the former athlete manage her businesses granting that she majored in finance. Outside of work, they also consider each other as the best of friends since they see the world so similarly.

It’s also worth noting that Hutchins has gotten pretty close to Jenner’s youngest daughter, Kylie. Forbes’ youngest self-made billionaire has even invited Hutchins to her birthday last year, her daughter Stormi’s grand first birthday earlier this year and to the launch party for Kylie Skin last month.
