The Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to continue their drive of investing in younger players moving forward. Hence, names such as Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson have been often in trade rumors and something may come up.

But of course, there are other veteran Cavs players who could find themselves playing for other teams next season. They enter the 2019-20 NBA season with a stacked backcourt, some of which have expiring deals and likely to ask for bigger salaries. Most of all, they are reaching their 30s.

These guards include Jordan Clarkson, Matthew Dellavedova and Brandon Knight, Cleveland.com reported. Of the three, the 29-year-old Fil-American is expected to seek higher pay compared to the $13.4 million he will be making for the coming season. With Cleveland seeking rising young stars or future picks, Clarkson is the one expected to return something big.

As for Dellavedova and Knight, they are two guards who have seen a decline in play. The 29-year-old Australian guard is likely to be sent off once again and the Cavs are hoping to net something good like a future pick in exchange.

Knight, on the other hand, is a player that the Cavs are most likely to deal. After being hit by an ACL injury two years ago, things just haven't been the same for the 27-year-old. Like Dellavedova, the Cavs will pray that some team would come forward and offer future picks for him.

The Cavs continue to formulate a way to get themselves back on track. Since the departure of James, things just haven't been the same. They are not tipped to make the postseason wars although Cleveland is expected to go all out. They are expected to rely heavily on their young and talented guards - Collin Sexton and Darius Garland.

In a previous post, Garland has been showing big strides with his fine shooting. Sexton has already shown what he can do last NBA season and most want to see how the two youngsters can play once the regular season starts.

A modest goal for the Cavs is to at least make the playoffs. Sexton believes they can do it although critics will disagree. It all depends on how Cavs players respond to head coach John Beilein, the man tasked to rebuild the Cleveland Cavaliers.
