Celine Dion is dealing with another tragic death in her family. Just days after her husband, Rene Angelil, died from throat cancer, her older brother Daniel Dion lost his battle with cancer.

According to TMZ, Daniel died at 59 in Montreal after fighting brain, tongue and throat cancer.

As previously reported, Celine's sister Claudette Dion revealed Friday that Daniel had been hospitalized and had only "days and hours" to live.

“We are with Daniel, day and night,” she told the Journal of Montreal.

Earlier this week, news broke that Celine's husband of 21 years had lost his long battle with cancer. He died Thursday morning surrounded by family and friends. Angelil, who was 73, had been battling throat cancer off and on since being first diagnosed in 1999.

Today reports that a funeral for Angelil will be held next week at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal.

"According to his final wishes, his funeral will be held at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, where 21 years ago, he chose to marry the one who will remain as the great love of his life, the artist for which he had the most respect, the woman who gave him light and happiness until his very last breath," an obituary posted on the singer's Facebook page read.

It continued: "He will be remembered as a gentle man, generous and kind, an unprecedented visionary, a modern Pygmalion, a Renaissance man. All who had the privilege of knowing him and of working closely with him, whether personally or professionally, salute a leader and a man of great intelligence and wisdom."

Following news of Angelil’s death, Celine canceled her show at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
