Spanish-American actress Charo’s husband Kjell Rasten died Monday from self-inflicted gunshot wound, TMZ reported. The 79-year-old was found inside his Beverly Hills home he shared with Charo.

According to law enforcement sources, police and paramedics arrived at the scene and transported Rasten to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Rasten, a TV producer in the '70s and '80s, married Charo in 1978. The two have a son together, named Shel Rasten.

Charo and Kjell, appeared together on a 2015 episode of the ABC show, "Celebrity Wife Swap."

Charo and Shel have not yet spoken out publicly about the death of Rasten. Charo, whose real name is Maria Rosario Pilar Martinez Molina Baeza, has a net worth of $12 million. She grew up playing the flamenco guitar. Before Rasten, she was married to bandleader Xavier Cugat in 1966.
