Another H.E.B. salad recall has been issued just one day after the Shake, Rattle & Bowl Caesar Salad with Chicken was recalled for an undeclared anchovy allergen. MIBO Fresh Foods LLC is recalling 1,460 pounds of H.E.B. chef salads for another anchovy allergen.

The recalled salad affects H.E.B. Meal Simple Chef Salads with Homestyle Ranch Dressing. The ready-to-eat salad has ham and turkey and was produced on May 10 and May 13, 2019. The salad was packaged in 9.65-ounce clear plastic containers with a Best By Date of 05-18-19 and 05-20-19 located on the label.

The salads also have an establishment number of EST. P-27399 inside the USDA mark of inspection. The recalled salads were shipped to retail stores in Texas.

Consumers are urged to check their refrigerators for the recalled chef salads. They should not be consumed. They should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

The company has not received any reports of adverse reactions from consuming the affected salad. Anyone concerned about illness from the recall should contact their healthcare provider.

MIBO discovered the allergen issue when the salads were being unboxed for placement on store shelves.
