A recall has been issued for Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies by Mondelez Global LLC. The recall was made because the cookies have the potential to contain an “unexpected solidified ingredient."

The recall affects 13-ounce packages of the Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies with a UPC code of 0 44000 03223 4. The cookies have a best when used by date of 07SEP2019, 08SEP2019, 14SEP219, and 15SEP2019 located on the left top side of the package by the lift tab.

The recalled cookies were sold at retail locations nationwide. No other Chips Ahoy or Mondelez Global products are including in the recall.

Consumers, who have purchased the recalled cookies should not eat them.

The company has received reports of adverse reactions to consuming the cookies.
