Costco (COST) has plans to open even more locations this fall as part of its continued expansion plans that it laid out earlier this year.

During the company’s Q1 2022 earnings call, Costco said that it would open several new stores in 2022.

The wholesale retailer announced on its website that it is slated to open six new stores in October and November. This is in addition to several locations that it previously announced would open this summer.

The new stores opening this October include U.S. locations in Athens, Georgia; Queens Creek, Arizona; and Lake Stevens, Washington; as well as an international wholesale club in Gocheok, South Korea.

In November, Costco will open stores in University City, Missouri, and Ankeny, Iowa.

As part of its summer expansion plans, Costco opened a Business Center club in Anjou, Quebec, Canada, and two wholesale clubs in N Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, and Mibu, Japan.

Other locations slated for opening in the summer months include St. Augustine, Florida; College Station, Texas; Murrieta, California; Verona, Wisconsin; Auckland, New Zealand; and Gimhae, South Korea; – all set to open in August 2022.

Costco has seen spectacular growth during the pandemic while many other retailers faltered as shoppers gravitated towards its discounted merchandise. Unlike many retailers that have trended away from brick-and-mortar stores, opting instead for e-commerce sites, Costco has seen success in the physical store model.

In the last quarter, Costco reported a net sales increase of 16.3% to $15.61 billion, up from $44.38 billion last year.

As of Tuesday during premarket hours, shares of Costco were trading at $459.00, down $4.11 or 0.89%.
