  • Paulo Dybala's future with Juventus becomes uncertain due to financial crisis
  • Manchester United is expected to take advantage of Dybala's situation
  • The Red Devils are plotting to propose a swap deal for the Argentine forward

Manchester United was handed a major boost in signing Cristiano Ronaldo’s attacking partner.

Things could end up well for Manchester United in the next transfer window as one of its big-name targets is likely to depart his current side.

Recent reports from Italy state that with Juventus facing a huge financial blow due to the pandemic, the reigning Serie A champions could offload some of their star players, including Paulo Dybala, Sky Italia noted.

Dybala’s future at Juventus has been deemed uncertain following a confirmation from the club’s sporting director Fabio Paratici that he isn’t sure what would happen at the end of the season.

Paratici also admitted that a contract extension for Dybala could be in limbo.

“We talk to his agent every week, but we can’t forget the moment we are all experiencing, even as a company,” Paratici said of Dybala’s situation. “In September, we went back to negativity and we haven't gotten out of it yet. We have to be careful with every move we make, and that's not just for football.”

“Nobody can decide now what to do for the next one, two, three years,” he added. “We must be very careful.”

Prior to Paratici’s statement, it has been said that Ligue 1 champs Paris Saint-Germain is in a pole position to sign Dybala.

However, Manchester United and Chelsea are also tagged as serious contenders with the former expected to become the new favorite to land the Argentine forward.

Earlier reports revealed that Juventus might consider offering Dybala to Manchester United as part of a swap deal in exchange for Paul Pogba, per Italian outlet Tuttosport.

Pogba will be out of contract with the Red Devils in 2022, but it is believed that the Old Trafford outfit could be forced to listen to offers from other clubs this summer.

The Tuttosport report added that Juventus is planning to propose the said swap deal at the end of the current campaign, and the only way to prevent Pogba from leaving Manchester United is when he finally agrees to a new deal.

Before being hindered by a recurring injury, Dybala has been a key figure at Juventus, having been Ronaldo’s co-star in the last two seasons.

Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo has acknowledged earlier this season that Dybala is one of the “always fundamental” players in his team.

“Champions like him are always fundamental in strong teams," Pirlo said of Dybala in December. "I train all the players. Dybala is one of them. His behavior is great."
